Learn to upcycle like a pro!
Carrie Webb, Designer-Maker at Webb & Gray, will be delivering a course in upcycling this Summer. You will be able to draw on her years of experience in interior design and furniture upcycling as part of this course.
This one day course will teach you the preparation, painting and découpage techniques required to create your own unique side table to take home. Choose from a selection of paint colours and beautiful wallpapers to create your bespoke piece. The course is suitable for beginners and all materials – including a table – are included.
You will learn:
How to source furniture for upcycling and what to look out for.
How to choose your materials – what paints, papers and topcoats to use.
How to prepare your piece for painting.
How to paint with a smooth modern finish.
How to apply wallpaper to furniture.
How to finish your piece.
The course will run on the 18th June 2022 from 10am and finish around 3pm with a break for lunch. Lunch will not be provided but there are great cafes to choose from along Northdown Road. Margate Design Collective are based at 151 Northdown Road, Cliftonville, England, GB, CT9 2QN. Please wear old clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on!
