Luna | Lilac drinks cabinet with iridescent curved glass
This unusual mid-century bow-fronted display cabinet from quality furniture makers ‘Nathan,’ has been given a new life as a bold, contemporary piece.
Hand painted in ‘Fresh Lilac’ from Yes Colours, Luna has a sleek and ethereal look with rounded edges and soft curves. A beautiful iridescent film has been applied to the original curved glass cabinet doors – the colour shifts from purple through to orange depending on the angle of view and is both mirrored and transparent.
Inside this lilac drinks cabinet, two glass shelves can be used for displaying curios or perhaps a selection of bottles. A new, remote controlled, mains powered LED spotlight has been fitted internally which allows the piece to glow warmly in the evening and illuminate the contents. In low light the colours of the iridescent glass become stronger. This show-stopping one-off piece would make a stunning cocktail cabinet or a talking point as a place to display your treasures.
