To create luxurious and sustainable furniture and homewares
Beautiful, sustainable, unique
Webb & Gray create outstanding and sustainable designs in furniture and homeware. Handcrafted in our studio in Kent, each piece is unique, bold and luxurious. Our work is contemporary and design-led with a strong focus on quality and craftsmanship. All our pieces are handmade from pre-loved furniture re-imagined into something beautiful and extraordinary. Both environmentally friendly and luxurious, our work perfectly blends style with sustainability in a modern and exciting way.
“We create pieces that will last for years to come, perhaps even as new family heirlooms”
How it all started
Carrie started refurbishing furniture when she couldn’t find suitable pieces for her own home. Frustrated by the lack of original design and poor quality of much modern furniture she began to source and refinish vintage pieces to suit her own interior design style. Finding joy in the creative freedom of redesigning and remaking furniture she later established Webb & Gray, working from her home in London, which allowed her to balance work and family life. As Webb & Gray developed, so did Carrie’s commitment to environmental issues and sustainability is now a core value of the business. In 2019, Carrie and her partner, Bob Gray, relocated their family and business to Margate on the South coast of England, where they continue to build the business with a focus on creativity and sustainability.
About the founder
Carrie Webb, the designer-maker behind Webb & Gray, is an experienced interior designer and has been professionally remaking furniture since 2016. Her original and eclectic style comes from her passion for design and the desire to constantly try out new ideas.
One of a kind pieces handmade with care and the best quality materials
Original and innovative design is the starting point for everything we create
Transforming unloved furniture into covetable design pieces
Going above and beyond to ensure our customers are always delighted
A fusion of style & sustainability
Our starting point for everything we create is a great design. We pride ourselves on our bold and original aesthetic; we believe that sustainable does not have to mean bland. Every piece we create is a one-off, you won’t find a Webb & Gray anywhere else.
We take pride in our work. We use the best quality materials and take great care to ensure the best possible finish. Making is our passion and we take pleasure in the process. Whether it’s painting, decoupage, gilding or marbling we strive to be exceptional in everything we do.
Sustainability, at the heart of our business
All our pieces are remade from preloved furniture. We take things that are unwanted and turn them into highly coveted treasures with a whole new life ahead of them. Opting for refinished furniture instead of new is a much more environmentally friendly choice and a step towards a circular economy. We want you to have your Webb & Gray piece for many years to come and are advocates of the right to repair. We provide a care package with all our furniture pieces so you can fix any accidental damage. We also offer a refinishing service so if your tastes change your furniture can be adapted rather than replaced.
We’re a small team committed to delivering an excellent customer experience. From purchase to delivery, we take care of the details. Your Webb & Gray piece will arrive with the same thoughtfulness that goes into crafting it. Going above and beyond is our standard practice, ensuring our customers are not just happy but delighted.
