A week at Pie Factory Gallery Margate

This month, as part of the Brighter Days collective, we had the opportunity to show our work at the Pie Factory gallery in Margate first of all during a pop-up shop and then a craft fair. We had lots of new work to share and really enjoyed speaking to people about it.

Pop-up shop

From Wednesday 8th to Friday 10th April we hosted a pop-up shop showcasing the work of selected Brighter Days makers. The curated collection included art, homewares and gifts.

Weekend Craft Fair

Saturday and Sunday saw all four rooms of Pie Factory filled with the wonderful creations of the Brighter Days Makers. It was a great opportunity to showcase our work in this fantatic setting. The rustic brick walls of the old pie factory meat store provided a stunningly contrasting backdrop to our colourful and luxurious pieces.

Workshop taster sessions

On Monday we hosted a gilding workshop taster session alongside two other Brighter Days makers. It was such a fun morning with participants having the opportunity to try wet felting and collage as well as gilding.

Everyone learnt some new kills and created some beautiful little treasures to take home.
