Genuine 24 carat gold
Based on traditional Victorian Christmas tree decorations, our luxury gilded walnuts have been made by hand using two layers of 24 carat gold leaf. The process of double gilding ensures a smooth and even finish and a deep gold colour. The walnuts are hung with luxury double sided velvet ribbon in a choice of red or navy blue.

The tradition of the gilded walnut
Christmas trees were first introduced to England from Germany in Georgian times but were popularised by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert (who was born in Germany) The Victorians decorated their trees with candles, fruit, homemade sweets and gilded walnuts.
