A handsome and imposing couple, this pair of distinctive cabinets would make a bold statement in a hallway, living area or as bedside tables.
They have been hand painted in Napoleonic Blue Chalk Paint by Annie Sloan with a clear wax finish for protection. The colour is a vibrant blue similar to cobalt blue or the ultramarine blue used frequently in neoclassical interiors. The interiors and drawers have been lined with Emma J Shipley’s exquisite hand drawn Rousseau wallpaper featuring foliage, peacock feathers and small birds. The wallpaper has been varnished for protection. New brushed brass handles have been added for an antique-meets-contemporary look. The cabinets are a near pair with a slight difference in the leg detail and thickness of the white marble top. They are vintage pieces and as such have some signs of age related wear including slight damage (light scratches and a chip to one corner) to the marble but nothing that detracts from their beauty.
