A striking original marbled artwork in layered pink and red tones with a velvety finish and a shimmer of gold. Created by hand using traditional paper marbling techniques, each piece is completely unique – a one-off ‘print’ on high quality catridge paper.
The marbling process involves applying specialist Turskish marbling paints onto a thickened water (called size) and manipulating it to create patterns then laying the paper on the top and lifting the print. The Spanish wave technique was used to create this print which involves moving the paper backwards and forwards as it is laid down on the paint, creating the three dimenssional folded effect.
This hand marbled paper is mounted onto a 6″ x 6″ cradled panel and presented in a black floating frame, giving it a clean, contemporary finish. The bold colour paired with the dark frame makes it an eye-catching and original piece of ready to hang art.
