A striking original marbled artwork in vibrant turquoise and blue tones with bold black and white and a shimmer of gold. Created by hand using traditional paper marbling techniques, each piece is completely unique – a one-off ‘print’ on high quality catridge paper.
The marbling process involves applying paint onto a thickened water (called size) and manipulating it to create patterns then laying the paper on the top and lifting the print. The Spanish wave technique was used to create this print which involves moving the paper backwards and forwards as it is laid down on the paint, creating the folded or rippled effect. The specialist Turkish marbling paints have a velvety matt finsh.
This hand marbled paper is mounted onto a 8″ x 8″ cradled panel and presented in a black floating frame, giving it a clean, contemporary finish. The bold colours paired with the dark frame make it an eye-catching and original piece of ready to hang art.
