Learn the Victorian art of walnut gilding as you create your own festive decoration.

In this relaxed workshop, you will learn how to prepare and gild a beautiful walnut decoration that you can take home in its own gift box.
Enjoy a complementary glass of prosecco, Nosecco or Elderflower fizz as you learn how to apply the size (glue) and metal leaf to your walnut before finishing with a velvet hanging ribbon – please wear something you don’t mind getting sparkly!
This gilding workshop is part of the Margate Jewellery Showcase taking place at Turner on 13 and 14 December 2025.
I will also have a selection of products including gilded lamps and marbled Christmas baubles available to buy.
