We have a select number of trusted couriers that we use for our deliveries. They are able to deliver the levels of service we expect, at a reasonable price point.
We insist our couriers have sufficient insurance of the correct type.
They have routes that they take around the regions they cover and so may not be able to accommodate very short delivery times (see non-standard shipping options)
If you have questions about this then please ask using the form below.
If you need us to deliver to somewhere outside our normal delivery areas or in a time frame we would not normally offer, then we are happy to try and find a suitable courier service.
We cannot promise to be successful but will work with you to try and get your purchase to you at the right time and place.
You are welcome to collect your purchases or commissions from our Studio in Cliftonville, Margate. Once your purchase has been completed, we will be in touch to arrange a mutually convenient date and time for you to collect.
You can send your own couriers to collect from our Studio if you wish. Do be aware that the larger courier companies tend not to allow furniture through their network and can be expensive if they do. Smaller courier companies may prove a better option. Be sure that you have satisfactory references from them and that they have the correct insurance in place to cover your purchase while in their care.
Prior to collection we will wrap your furniture for transport as we would for delivery by one of our trusted couriers.
We offer a range of furniture upcycling workshops at our studio in Margate and sometimes at other venues.
We cater for complete beginners and those with some experience of painting furniture. Workshops are scheduled for weekends but do get in touch if you are looking for a weekday course as we are able to accommodate this. We are also able to tailor courses to your requirements and 1:1 tuition can also be booked.
We have a beautiful bedroom with en suite and a balcony should you wish to book it for your stay or we are happy to recommend local hotels.
For each purchase of furniture we provide a tailored care pack that may contain some or all of the following, depending on the materials used.
A paint brush
A cleaning cloth
Small pots of the paints and/ or wax used
A care instructions leaflet
Even the most treasured and cared for furniture can get worn and damaged and this little kit is designed to help you repair minor nicks and scratches with ease.
As well as creating one-off pieces for our shop we also undertake client commissions. Perhaps you have a piece of furniture that you want to update in a particular way or you would like us to source an item for you to turn into the perfect piece for your space? We work in a collaborative way with our clients to develop a design that is just right for your interior. Every project is different so please get in touch to discuss how we can help.
If you are looking for a match to existing colours then please let us know and we can find the finish and colour mix for you.
Our policy regarding returns and refunds can be found here.
Care Instructions
Annie Sloan Chalk Paint ® is a top quality, specialist furniture paint. It is a hard-wearing finish which is finished with a protective wax.
It is, however, still important to treat it with care and you should follow these basic rules to ensure your piece stays looking its best.
1. Keep your furniture away from extreme temperatures, air conditioning, excessive moisture or dryness
2. Although the finish is water resistant certain liquids may stain, if you do spill something wipe it up immediately
3. To clean please use a slightly damp, soft cloth (as included in your Care Pack) with a little mild soap. Don’t use any liquid furniture polishes, sprays or chemicals as these could damage the paint
4. It is advisable to use coasters to avoid ring marks but do not use silicon ones as they can stick to the paintwork and damage it
5. You may wish to refresh the wax finish after a couple of years. This is easily achieved by applying a little of the wax with a lint free cloth, working it in gently and wiping off any excess with a clean cloth.
Of course accidents do happen so you will have a Care Pack which can be used to touch up any chips or scratches which might occur.
